A Concept map, sometimes referred to as a Mind Map, is a method that helps students see concepts and content visually. A concept map uses connectors to show the connections between concepts.
- Concept maps help students to organize information.
- Helps to assimilate concepts by connecting them to other ideas related to one another.
- Analyze concepts.
- Compare and contrast concepts.
- Instructors can see how students visualize concepts.
Suggestions for Use
- Have the students visually design the general concept and the details.
- Ask students to create, organize, and link ideas.
- Help students group content/information and build meaningful links.
- Allow students to explain or visually present how they have reached a particular conclusion.
- Visually show how people or their opinions are linked to each other (literary or scientific text can be used).

- mindmeister – with the free plan – 3 private maps.
- Miro – with the free plan – 3 maps.
- Choose a platform and share with students according to the instructions of the platform.
- Integrate the concept map in Moodle either as an external link or embedded within a formatted content page.
